I have some exciting news to share with you! The GOOD Chocolatier has been nominated for two Small Business BC awards: the Business Impact Award and the People’s Choice Award. Our Journey and Impact

At The GOOD Chocolatier, our mission is simple: every product should be GOOD for you and GOOD for the world. 

Our high quality, single-origin cacao from Ecuador is 100% organic and fairtrade certified. We are completely gluten-free, soy-free, and refined sugar-free, and source all other ingredients locally if possible. All of this is wrapped in compostable packaging, making our chocolate a delight for both your taste buds and the planet.

As a social enterprise, we aim to create meaningful employment for people on the Autism Spectrum. We are a small but mighty team of passionate individuals, including five neurodiverse employees with a wide range of skills! By partnering with organizations like PASS (PALS Adult Service Society) and PAFN (Pacific Autism Family Network), we are constantly learning new ways to ensure that our job opportunities are enriching and accommodating.

From my early days of ethical consumption and social enterprise studies at Capilano University to present, I’ve strived to find ways to make positive change every step of the way. The Social Impact Award from BCFB and the NEUROInclusion Business Award from Employment Works reflect our commitment to inclusiveness in the workplace and dedication to ethical and sustainable processes from bean to bar.

Premier’s People’s Choice Award: Our goal has always been to create a product that not only tastes amazing but also has heart and makes people feel good. During challenging times like the Covid-19 pandemic and the current global cacao shortage, we have stayed true to our mission and values. We kept our neurodivergent employees working safely during the pandemic and continue to educate our customers about ethical cacao sourcing.
